Sonja Strayhand Sonja Strayhand President of Sonja Strayhand Interiors, manages a successful full service interior design firm that services residential and commercial interiors. From concept to final installation, Strayhand Interiors extraordinary creativity provides clients with a multitude of services including, space planning, fine furnishings, renovations, distinctive accessories, show house model, interior finishes, custom window treatments, and more. Sonja Strayhand uses a combination of interior design history and years of experience with Decors and styles in order to showcase contemporary, transitional, eclectic, and classic design concepts.

Sonja’s goals are to develop a trusting bond between clients so that in the process she creates an environment that inspires and gives the client overwhelming confidence and exceeds their expectations. Sonja Strayhand is an active member of the American Society of Interior Designers, International Interior Design Association and Atlanta Business League, which keeps her well, informed of industry innovations and international resources. She frequently donates her time and expertise to community service projects including; Child Kind, Inc., Herndon Foundation, Tayla-Made Foundation, and Goodwill Industries, and an Honorary Board member for Special Olympics of Georgia.

Sonja Strayhand was most recently named one of Atlanta’s Woman Magazine 25 Power Women to Watch of 2006, Atlanta Business League Outstanding Achievements in Creative Style 2005 and the recipient of the “Best Interior Design Award“ 2004 Street of Dreams Luxury Home Tour a competition with six interior design firms. She was named one of the Looking Ahead Magazine’s 2003 Ordinary Women with Extraordinary Talents. Sonja is a graduate of the Atlanta College of Art. She has been featured in the Atlanta Home Journal, Today’s Custom Homes, Living Space, WLA, Home Improvement Magazine, Fayette Woman, Atlanta Tribune The Magazine, and Who’s Who in Black Atlanta. In addition to the magazine articles, Sonja has also been interviewed by WAGA, Fox 5 News as chair of Special Events Designer Showcase and was most recently featured on TV One’s Divine Restoration for the restoration of Butler Street CME Church and First Congregational Church United Church of God. A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the proud mother of Five-year-old Ronald Jr.
